Ok, so after a Summer full of adding color to my wardrobe, I’m ready to return to my go-to look as we transition to Fall: head-to-toe black. Wearing all black can be both comfortable and empowering. It can make you feel like a total badass, but is also super easy to wear. Living in New York has definitely helped me with my black clothing addiction. Most people here are totally comfortable in all black outfits, unless it happens to be fashion week (like right now). In any case, I'm so excited that Fall is finally on the horizon. Layering is my favorite part of menswear, and I find that you can definitely get a little more creative when you can layer pieces together.
To ring in the end of Summer and transition to Fall, I put together this simple but chic black look. A Lacoste polo is a must in any man’s closet, and this version can’t get any more classic. I chose black because I knew it would go with anything in my closet, and so far I’ve been proven right. I paired the top with my favorite cropped black pants and some clean Stan Smiths. Adding a Rayban Wayfarer just gave it a little 50s tough-guy vibe that I love.
This outfit is really made of the building blocks of a modern man’s wardrobe: timeless black sunglasses, a well-fitting polo shirt, tailored black pants, and of course fresh white sneakers. Working with pieces like these, you can pretty much make any look you want!
