With the summer season comes a sneaker refresh in my wardrobe. I’m a pretty laidback dresser when the weather gets warm, and I love being able to throw on a clean, minimal sneaker to upgrade any look. I’m so excited this summer because I finally found the perfect one! My pick for summer, the one sneaker you must invest in…. (drum role please), is the Common Projects Original Achilles in blush pink.
To be honest, I’ve been lusting after this pair of shoes for almost a year. I have two pairs of Common Projects in the same silhouette in both off-white and black, and I rotate between them every day. They are hands down the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever owned, and if you know me, you know I own a lot of shoes – I mean, it’s almost obscene.
Pink is definitely the color of the year. I have never seen more people, on social media or in daily life, get behind a trending color before, and I love it! This year I’ve purchased pink sweaters, a pink motorcycle jacket (which is probably the most-talked about piece I own, no kidding), pink sunglasses, you name it! A pink shoe was the natural next step, and the fact that it’s from Common Projects is just the icing on the cake.
I haven’t had a chance to style these bad boys yet, I was too excited to shoot them alone to be honest. But I imagine I’ll be doing some sort of casual look for these; a black or white t-shirt, cropped light wash jeans, and these shoes to top it off. They’re the perfect statement for any summer look. And really, I’m sure I’ll wear these deep into Fall, so the investment is going to pay off.
And if you don’t want to make the investment on a pair of colored sneakers that may not be your everyday shoe, I’ve rounded up a few similar options below. So go ahead, and go pink!
