A change of the season, a change of the wardrobe. With the weather shifting in New York, I’ve finally had a few opportunities to dress for the Fall season. I love layering, as I’ve said about a million times, and not being able to dress in layers because of the heat has been rough. Now that I finally have a chance, I’m taking full advantage!
I wanted to try something a little different with this look. I don’t typically inject a bright color into my outfits, especially in Fall; but this amazingly soft sweater from John Smedley is the perfect statement piece to update your Fall style. The bright blue color really helps break up my typically dark looks, like this gray and black outfit here. Like all John Smedley pieces, the texture is super soft but has some heft, made out of 100% Merino wool. The fit on this is amazingly sharp, which matches my tendency for tailoring in Fall.
With suiting, I tend to stay casual, and this knit takes my look from office-ready to drinks with ease. It’s super versatile, and can be worn over a t-shirt with dark wash jeans (or white, for the brave!), or dressed up over a button-down and tie. Perfect for the cool weather, this knit is my favorite addition so far this season!
