Winter has arrived, and I couldn't be happier. As you may have noticed, I'm obsessed with coats, jackets, and denim. I really I feel like no outfit is complete if I don't throw on that final layer. And now, with coat season in full swing, I don't look like a crazy person wearing a jacket in the heat!

Layering with denim is always fun - there's something about dressing up such a typically casual pant that I really like. My go-to? Black denim of course. You can never go wrong with a comfortable pair of black slim-fit jeans. The color is slimming and classic, and the fit gives a polished look to an otherwise laid-back piece. The pair I'm wearing here is from ASOS. It has the perfect amount of give, but isn't what you'd call stretchy, so it still feels tailored and sleek. A slim cut is the stylish answer to the skinny fit, and is a flattering choice for most guys. To finish up this look I layered on my other Winter obsession - a mock neck sweater in ivory - over a simple button down shirt that pulled the outfit together.
