Read morethe animal inside: Balenciaga. The exclusive collection
With New York Fashion Week over and the rest of fashion month in full swing, I wanted to take a break from the craziness of shows and parties and appointments and take a look at some clothes you can actually, you know, buy now. Because fashion week is fun and all, but honestly I have zero patience to wait around for the next season. So of course I’ve been browsing my usual sites, when I stumbled upon a new drop from perpetually-cool Balenciaga.
Coming off the heels of last season’s World Food Programme partnership, Balenciaga has once again shown their effortlessly cool pieces do more than just get you papped by street style photographers.
For their newest drop, Balenciaga has partnered with Farfetch, arguably the chicest in luxury online retail, to create a capsule of exclusives called (what else) ‘Balenciaga. The exclusive collection’. Ya’ll know I love an exclusive, and this collection is no exception. With pieces featuring illustrations of animals like the Northern White Rhino, the Blue Whale, and the Giant Panda, this capsule has heart. The capsule also stays away from the use of leather, fur, and down materials. The fashion industry’s environmental impact is massive, so anyone drawing some attention to it in a conscious way is vital; it’s also a plus that these pieces are perfect for the streetwear-obsessed.
Below, I’m rounding up some of my favorites from the capsule, and honestly I don’t know which one I need most!
TLDR: This capsule of chic Balenciaga for Farfetch exclusives brings much-needed attention to fashion’s environmental impact while staying cool. So hit that checkout button because these pieces won’t last long.
Check out the full capsule, over at Farfetch.

Black Friday Wishlist with Farfetch: 3 Trends to Shop For
It snuck up on us so quickly - the year is coming to an end once again. Halloween has passed, and for a shopaholic like me that can only mean that we are about to be in sale season! One of the best shopping times of year is arguably Black Friday, a time when anything in your wishlist could magically go on sale. And this season I’m prepared; I’ve stocked up my wishlist with all of my must-have pieces for Fall.
Browsing my favorite mega shop, Farfetch, I gathered up some of the hottest clothes, accessories, and of course shoes, that I have my eye on for sale season.
Logomania
Logomania seems to have hit fashion hard, and it doesn’t seem to be going away any time soon. I’ve decided to embrace the trend in the best way possible - with a selection of statement-making pieces that are sure to turn heads, and tell people exactly who you’re repping.
Ugly Sneakers
I've been a big fan of the “ugly sneaker” trend since the start. Gucci’s iteration on the runway had me drooling, and I finally caved with the logo version of the Gucci Rhyton. Now, I’m ready for my next pair, and below I’ve curated my selection that are sure to give any outfit that “fashion dad” vibe.
Statement Jackets
If you guys have been following me, you know I’m a big jacket fan. I feel totally naked if I don’t have a jacket or coat on, so naturally Fall is a season I thrive. Below, check out some pieces that I’m dying for - from camo to colorful, there’s something for every outfit.
The sales may not have started yet, but getting a head start now with some of these pieces will help you fight off the crowds (or online shoppers) when they officially begin on Black Friday. Check out more pieces I’m drooling over below, at Farfetch.

summer loving
The summer is coming to an end, and I really can't believe how quick this one has been! I've done a bit of traveling recently, and one of my favorite trips of the summer was my July 4th excursion to Florida. I've been to Florida a few times and have always enjoyed the sun and the laid-back vibe I get - maybe it reminds me of California, who knows. And this trip was no different!
I flew down to Florida to stay at my friend's beach house, and spent four days taking in the sun, sitting on the beach, exploring the little town of Siesta Key, and just laying by the pool with friends.
As we head into Fall and Summer comes to a close, I thought I’d share this little photo diary from the trip. All I can think of now is where to go next…
feeling artsy with calvin klein 205w39nyc
Fashion is often referred to as the intersection of art and commerce. For me at least, clothing as an expressive tool has always been the most understandable and practical form of art, and now more than ever art is having a resurgence in menswear. The most ingenious mix of art, fashion, and a bit of wit, has got to be from Calvin Klein's 205W39NYC line, helmed by the creative mastermind that is Raf Simons. Raf's changes at the label have been far reaching in the world of fashion, bringing Americana and the Calvin Klein name both back into the conversation in a major way.
I recently took a trip to the new Nordstrom Men's store in the city, and was blown away by their shop-in-shop of the new Calvin Klein 205 line. The installation mimics the CK boutique so well - they really translated Raf's vision for the season. While exploring the collection, I couldn't help myself from trying on a few pieces, and I instantly fell in love with this hoodie (via Farfetch) featuring a print of Sanrda Brant by Andy Warhol. It may at first look simple, but the simplicity is what makes it special. The cut, the fit, the authentic Andy Warhol screen printing; everything comes together to make this piece special. I had to have it!
I knew I wanted to style this in a casual American way, keeping as true as possible to Raf's vision of Calvin Klein. I paired the hoodie under an oversized denim jacket (because what is more American than a denim jacket?), and black denim pants, topped off with sleek black Chelsea boots. It turned out exactly as I'd hoped: simple, yet put together; classic, but on-trend.
Are there any art influences in fashion you're loving right now? Send me your thoughts in the comments!
